This Calculator allows you to calculate Quality Points for your 1500 M swim or to compare your 1500 M time to someone else in a different age/gender bracket. It is based on data collected and compiled by the Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education, Kaunas, Lithuania, brought to our attention by Leo Algminas and implemented by Barry Dayton.

Note this is based on 1500 M long course performances and may not apply to 1500 M short course or 1650 Y times. In particular, do not compare your 1500 M time to your or someone else's 1650 Y time. Quality Points are based on a system similar to that used by FINA to select overall best swimmers at a meet, an all time FINA top ten swim in a given age/sex bracket will get a point total of around 1000 points.

To use, enter your sex, age group and 1500 M. time. Click on points to find your Quality Points. You may enter the sex and age of the person you want to compare to and click on Recalculate. Then a time will be returned that can be directly compared with a swimmer in the new sex/age group.
